Hi there! I’m Stephanie Lau, a Toronto-born, NYC-based food content creator, cookbook club host, and chartered accountant. I grew up in a food forward household. There, Mark Bittman’s How to Cook Everything was the Bible and consuming copious amounts of Food Network Canada was a family affair.
While I learned how to cook as a child, I didn’t consider cooking as a hobby until 2020, a year filled with sourdough starters and pasta making. Since then, I’ve documented my work from home lunches, cooking projects, cookbook explorations, restaurants I’m excited about, and the occasional recipe on Instagram. We eat with our eyes first, so I find joy in making my everyday meals ones that are also beautiful to look at.
If I’m not plating and photographing something for myself, I’m probably creating curated content for food and lifestyle brands. Previous clients include Oishii Berry, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Misfits Market, SPAM, Ninja Kitchen, and more.
In February 2024, I started a cookbook club in New York City. The cookbook club began in my 1 Bedroom apartment, and has grown into a community of over 2,000 enthusiastic home cooks. I’ve been featured on Good Morning America and Cherrybombe The Future of Food Is You podcast and continue to host monthly food events throughout New York City. I truly believe that food is so much more than what’s on the plate, and sharing food with others is one of the
When I’m not hosting a cookbook club, you can find me running and cycling outdoors or crocheting on the couch while watching a horror movie.
Anyways, thanks so much for stopping by! I look forward to connecting and sharing all things food with you.
